Off to NYC!

So tomorrow is the day I officially begin my adventure. iEarn has the NSLI-Y Hindi recipients go to Colombia University to do a pre-departure orientation (PDO) in order to prepare us for the trip ahead. I'm so excited to meet all the other people who are going with me to Pune and can't wait to feel the wheels hit the ground in Mumbai Airport! In the meantime, I'm busy finishing up packing!! I made a packing list in MAY, but checking off each item is harder than it looks. I'm worried that the bag will be over 50 lbs... but here's to hoping it isn't!

Although I'm ecstatic to go on this amazing adventure, I also know that I will miss Cambridge and my friends and family a bunch. This experience is like no other and I hope that I come out of it speaking Hindi and understanding modern India better.

Hopefully I'll be able to post before I go on the plane, but if not --see you in India!
